Tillmann Bross tells a story about

Baronesse Amp & T-Dog Guitar

Being both an artist/visionary and a craftsman at the same time is not an everyday combination, at least not without one aspect overshadowing the other. Before I ever had a Büchele guitar or amp in my hands, my old amps were in the best hands with Norman, and even the refret of my guitar was an incredible upgrade. A lot of dedication and passion, top-notch craftsmanship, and an enthusiasm for getting to know each individual instrument — even if it was “just” a service job — made me all the more curious to try out the in-house guitars and amps.

All the better to have had the chance to thoroughly test the prototypes, and in particular, the combination of the T-Dog and Baronesse threw me — in the best possible way — into an existential crisis.

It’s immediately clear that an instrument is more than just the sum of its parts when it comes to Büchele Instruments — not just in terms of design language and feel, but also in that same sense of familiarity that arises both while playing the instruments and during all those nerdy conversations over a piece of cake.

I feel very lucky to have such good friends, artists, and craftsmen in the neighborhood who impressively demonstrate that authenticity in sound and experience comes from personality and dedication — not from vintage-correct spec sheets.
